Summary
Navigram created an online 3D roomplanner that can be configured flexibly. Catalogs of furniture and material suppliers can be integrated in the roomplanner.
The roomplanner can be used in combination with house floorplans (real estate applications), for standalone purposes (showrooms, etc) and online (for example house&home portals).

Requirement
Develop a roomplanner that allows the user to define a room (length, width, height, corners, etc) and to furnish this room with objects, materials and colors. The roomplanner should run online and should allow the use of an unlimited number of objects from different suppliers.
Solution
A simple userinterface was created in which the user can define a room by just dragging the walls and dropping windows and doors.

Define a room
At the bottom there is room for displaying catalogs of objects. These catalogs can be extended at will. Objects can be dragged from the catalog into the room.

Drag objects into the room
It is possible to switch between 2D and 3D at any time. Also in 3D one can drop and move objects in the room.

3D View
Objects have their own propertypages, ranging from simple (like a choice of carpets when one clicks the floor) up to very complex functionality (configuring and parametrizing complete furniture systems). In a few clicks one can customize the image and walk around through the result.

The same room, with more details.
Finally, one can change the appearance by adding lights, curtains, etc. to the model. The result can be saved, printed and modified again.

The result after just 5 minutes work.
